Put down your eggs and coffee.I'm about to tell a disgusting story!
Several months back(lost count of how many), I bought the little guy a pottie(those things that act as toilets until the young ones are tall enough to use a water closet).
This was in the hopes that pottie training would begin with immediate effect.
Turns out the small boy was still attached to his diapers, nappies and whatnot.
The pottie became a plaything until recently when I geared on the exercise for round two.
So last night he's doing rounds of running between my room and his(If you ask me kids just have too much energy) and suddenly he disappears into his for quite a while.I hear something dropping in the toilet which happens to be next to my room.
"Jeff!Umeangusha nini kwa toilet?" I call out.
A trouserless boy comes in running while pointing at something on his fingers,‘‘Hii...pupu!" There is some on his legs too!!
As a mum you stop having a light stomach..what with all the diaper changing sessions over time, with being burped on..etc etc.But I have to say I was eewwed out last night.
Anyway back to the faeces o_O o_O
I carefully put my laptop down and ask him to lead me where the rest of the mess is(maternal instinct tells me there is a mess).
Into his room and there on the floor, in all its glory, brown coloured, mini-mountain shaped objects have studded the floor...(EEEEEEWWWWW)
PAUSE!This is where I realise again that motherhood is a fulltime job.
When I walked into the house last night I took a warm bath and lay on my bed listening to soft music.I just wanted to unwind and end my long day in a smooth way.
But here I was, almost wretching at the thought of cleaning up diaper gravy from the floor.
I'll save you the gory details of how that went but let's say all is superclean now and today I dedicate my day to rigorous pottie lessons to the small boy.He needs to learn that specific things go to specific places and not on the bedroom floor!!
Fast forward...many weeks later. We have a champion. The pottie is his friend.I must also report that the water closet is his friend too. They became friends within one week of training.Fast learner that one.He has grown tall enough to help himself on his own.No more studded floors. No more disgusting moments. The boy has grown up and will continue to do so!
*Triumph*
