Big day for the little man.Sunday,October the 13th we sang happy birthday to him.Friends and relatives in unison.
And all got a piece of the yummy cakes made by my friends Ndanu and Collo.
We sang happy birthday to Jeff and his uncle Ben.(my little- brother in-law)Not so little though.Hehe.
We weren't a melodic choir,just people who gave their time and effort to come celebrate with us.I had 120 guests give or take.One of those moments in life when you wonder how you got to know so many people.It gave me so much joy to sit and put together how I knew all those who came.
Say my girls from back in high school,
friends from church,
friends from campus,
friends from primary school(hahaa),
cousins,nephews.nieces,aunts,uncles
friends from my estate,
friends of Jeff's late dad,
He's not gonna miss an appearance in this post.My best bud and sweetheart.
It was a congregation of friends in short because whether we share blood or not,we are friends.The great thing about gatherings where people just come to celebrate is the air of relaxation and appreciation for life.That we could eat,drink,laugh and just generally enjoy, was a reason to celebrate in itself.
It was great to see people smile and be satisfied.Part of the reason I love to host people.That smile it brings to people's faces warms me up greatly.So we had a swell Sunday afternoon and I am grateful to God that all went well from the planning to the time I lay my head to rest after the party.
