Beneath my beautiful.

Sometimes we are good at doing some things but we may not realise it.We may need people around us to point out what they see in us;that which we ourselves cannot see.Or at times we may be too afraid to go all out and do what we know we're good at.Reason?The fear of failure.At times we are just really too shy to bring out the best in us.We may be afraid of what people will say,how they will view us.We are afraid that we may be fronting ourselves too much.

I read a post on my friend Ndanu's blog:Semasoulful the other day,a post titled Mind Games. She broke it down clearly.How our thoughts are the source and root of our actions.How believing that 'yes you can' starts in your mind.She wrote about not doubting one's ability and  it was totally inspiring to me.
Today this blog hits 4000 page views.Four thousand.The implication here is that 4000 times, people have visited this blog.It has views in Russia, the Unites States,the United Kingdom,a few in the United Arab Emirates,China,Netherlands.Sometimes I wonder who all those people are.Then I stop wondering and blog on.And how I can I forget Kenya.That obviously takes majority of the views.
On the flip side it's just 4000 page views.Not 100,000 like other big bloggers.I'm not writing today to say that this is a super achievement.I'm writing to say it feels good not to sit on my potential.It feels good to start from somewhere.Yes I dream that someday I shall write for a magazine,a newspaper or even write a book.The written word is magical to me.To pick one word and follow it with another.Another and another and end up inspiring somebody else,end up putting a smile or a laugh on someone's face,end up helping someone view life and things from a different perspective..that is magical and a miracle to me.
The Bible,the greatest written Word I have come across, is a serious masterpiece.Put together by God Almighty our Creator.He put together the universe.In all it's beauty,splendor and mysteries.How much more was His spoken word going to be beautiful when put in writing.It is a thriller,comedy,love stories,poems,a source of advice,a source of comfort all put together.The greatest love story is found in this great Book.Love that was displayed at Calvary.Three nails,one cross,a crown of thorns and precious precious blood. And many other stories.The written Word!
So today I want to thank the Almighty because I am growing in this art.And to thank Him because the written word does not come as a struggle for me..both in the love for reading and writing.
I want to thank a special man in my life who literally started this blog for me.Without my knowledge,in January this year, he gathered my updates about my son on my Facebook and posted them here on the blog as my first few posts.He's also my IT guy and he's the one I consult when I'm having blonde moments with computer stuff.Sometimes in our little fears to start something, we need that one person to push us and cheer us on.I am grateful that this person is my sweetheart. He's seen beneath my beautiful and beneath my perfect.He knows my many faults but he's still been my friend and a source of confidence when my confidence threatens to die off.He is the one beneath my beautiful.We all need that one person.And I am blessed to have him.
